Funnily enough, He got me into sonic content as a whole. But he was the first and even to this day I still go absolutely insane about anything related to him. Despite the nature of what he is, who he is, he still was there for me when nobody else was, Like a warm blanket on a cold night, He welcomed me as I welcomed him <3I cling to him heavily due to his close appearance of sonic, Which I guess is why he takes that form. The first ever f/o I got FULLY attached to off the get go. I don't know where I'd be without him. The first I ever drew ship art with, the first I bought merch of. Everything. He opened my eyes to a whole new world and I couldn't be any more grateful. He means more than the world to me and I'm sure it's the same way for him as well.If it wasn't for him I highly doubt I would've ever figured out i was fictorom/sxl. The funny octopus that got me into splatoon, Which has NOT ended as a fixation and honestly became a special interest. If it wasn't for him I highly doubt I would've ever gotten into splatoon fully, I would've never came back to it after all the years of not playing it.But outside of that, I love him because of who he is. Just an old man trying to keep his people safe and happy no matter what it costs. Even if that cost is himself. A leader trying his hardest and I adore the way he acts and speaks, I adore him.

In a way, I relate to him. I think that's what made me grow to love him as much as I do now. Relate in the way of wanting to be loved and going to drastic measures to get it. Being used by those you love, So on. Where others only saw Eri from the surface, I couldn't help but see him beyond just surface level, Every flaw, Every positive, Everything about him I couldn't help but just, Adore. Love.
